We shopaholics have plenty of eclectic joints to choose from where we're able to find those one-of-a-kind hidden gems that no one else can get, mwahaha. Thrift stores, one of the shopping secrets of life, are in great abundance in the city. Rounded up here are a few of the best ones, so channel the spirit of the city and check out these sweet spots.

LA BOMBA

Long Beach, CA 90814

Located on Retro Row in Downtown Long Beach, this shop’s got something for everybody—grunge, modern, vintage, the feminine and the masculine. Search for literal buried treasures in a gigantic mountain of clothing at the back of the store, all items $5 or less.

TATTERED
5555 E Stearns St
A-106
Long Beach, CA 90815

A high-end thrift store, this is the place to go if you want to find brand-name items for cheap. For just a little more money than you would pay at your average thrift store, you’ll get the extra quality. The insanely organized and spacey atmosphere is not something that goes unnoticed either. Tattered also buys used clothing, so try your hand at making some cash off that purse gathering dust in your closet, but make sure it’s in good condition!

Long Beach, CA 90804

The proceeds from this cleverly titled shop go to AIDS research and the services of AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). The store’s pharmacy even provides customers with the option of a free HIV test. Stop by to pick up a good book, a basic tee, or a quirky decor item for your room and walk out having spent less than you would have at Starbucks.

Yet another cleverly titled thrift store as well as another Retro Row spot, this place is packed with goodies—unique birthday cards, leather jackets, band tees, perfectly worn out high waisted denim shorts, vintage Playboy magazines, flannels, glassware, jewelry, children’s clothing, furniture, records on records on records, and still more.

BUFFALO EXCHANGE
4608 E 2nd St
Long Beach, CA 9080

Buffalo Exchange can’t really be beat when it comes to the latest styles at a thrift store. With a youthful atmosphere and a wide variety of clothing, accessories, and shoes, it’s hard to walk out empty-handed. Like Tattered, the store buys used clothing, so it’s a good spot to try to get a bit of extra cash in your pocket after some spring cleaning.
