Every morning Americans all over the United States wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Thankfully, coffee never fails to turn that frown upside down.
This is why the Coffee Cup Café is a must in Long Beach. No longer do coffee lovers have to wait for coffee while they wait to be seated.
Upon walking into the Coffee Cup Café, you automatically see the amount of people who share a love for the place. It is quite loud, but not so loud that you can’t hear your group of friends. There are booths, tables in the center and counter top seating.
Pick of the morning was veggie scramble, Tom’s way. Tom’s style includes black beans and soyrizo, along with a choice of toast, english muffin or tortilla.
It was definitely a vegetarian-friendly breakfast party with the home seasoned potatoes like pillows on the side, a scrambled egg dance floor in the center of the plate, mixed with an array of colorful veggies!
As soon as the fork touched my mouth the combination of the light crunch of bell peppers, the gushing of tomato juices and savory black bean flavors made its presence known. The egg with veggies was scrambled to perfection. The soyrizo was slightly spicy, yet more flavorful than anything, with tiny meat-like chunks that emphasized the chorizo taste.
Coffee Cup Café’s breakfast options are endless, with scrambles, omelettes and pancake options. It’s no wonder why Long Beach locals line the sidewalk in the morning, trying to get in on some of that coffee action.
The staff is approachable and the customer service is great. Everyone who works there is very attentive and provides fast service.
Coffee Cup Café also offers lunch and is located on East Fourth street. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. They only accept cash, but there is an ATM on site.
