Daniel Goldsbary is a senior majoring in Journalism, minoring in Communication Studies, and is set to graduate in the spring of 2015. Born and raised on the central coast of California, he eventually decided to move down to Long Beach to pursue his education. Writing profiles and features are Daniel’s favorite because he likes delving into a subject until he fully understands how and why it works the way it does, but he enjoys every aspect of writing. He began working for Dig in December of 2012 as an editorial assistant, spending equal time writing and editing stories, and eventually worked his way to becoming editor in chief. Daniel enjoys getting lost in books, getting lost in the wilderness, and visiting family when his academic schedule permits. After graduation, he plans on diving head first into the journalism field in order to get as much experience in as many subsets of journalism as possible, and wants to eventually end up working at another magazine. Before he leaves next year, he hopes to help Dig evolve into a magazine that engages readers across the campus.
