Celebrate this holiday season in style

As the days become shorter and the weather becomes chillier, it is time to pull out your hidden away winter clothes. But with a new season approaching, the question of what is in style arises. Per Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Vogue magazines, women’s style for this winter weather consists of button-ups under cardigans, plaid garments, pairing dark denim with “winter white” tops and the rugged leather look! Leather pants, leather jackets and leather boots are a hot commodity this year and can be used during the day or the night. The color charcoal is the newest neutral color to wear and can be worn at all times. As far as shoes go, thigh highs, small heels and flats are a necessity; riding boots, ankle boots and biker boots are trendy looks as well.
Emerald. Emerald. Emerald. This year’s fall/winter fashion pop out color is emerald. Using this pop out color is a fun way to accessorize any outfit. Try using an emerald statement necklace to dress up a neutral outfit. It is also a good idea to start collecting sparkly holiday pieces or a good cocktail dress that can be used for a holiday or family party. Another fun accessory to use is a beanie, particularly during the day.
In relation to men's wear, GQ magazine suggests a military-inspired look or leather, such as a biker jacket. Geometric prints and beanies are popular favorites too. For a more dressed up sophisticated look, men cannot go wrong wearing grey on grey. A grey suit with a grey shirt underneath is an acceptable approach. If you want to add some color to your outfit, emerald is recommended as well. How about an emerald green bow tie to go with that plain holiday suit?
These few fashion tips should be useful when trying to decide what to bring out from the back of your closet, and what garments or accessories, still need to be purchased.
