Instead of purchasing more products to undo the damage other hair products created, try using a different alternative.

Homemade remedies are a great choice for making your locks look amazing without the extra chemical junk; it also saves you a few bucks. Who would’ve guessed that your kitchen was the key to beautiful hair! Eggs, honey and avocado sound great for breakfast but don’t fry your eggs yet! These are your key ingredients for your homemade hair treatments, and, if there is anything left over, your breakfast too.

Honey Moisture Treatment Whether you are a self-inflicting victim of hot showers, sun overexposure or your favorite hot tools, don’t let your hair get out of hand and put the moisture back in your locks with honey.

How to use: Use 1/2 cup of honey and massage into damp, clean hair. Let the honey sit for about 25 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

For extremely damaged hair, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of avocado into the 1/2 cup of honey. Repeats the steps again. Massage mixture into damp hair, let sit for 20 mins and then rinse with warm water.

Egg Conditioning Treatment Scrambled or sunny side up - eggs are delicious and nutritious, even for you hair! Give your hair crazy shine and moisture with this easy conditioning treatment.

How to use: Crack open 1 to 2 eggs (depending on length and volume of hair) using only the yolk. Mix into the yolk one whole ripe avocado. Apply your egg and avocado paste onto your hair, focusing on the driest parts, and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it off with cool water, do not use warm or hot water as it will cook the egg.
