October has arrived and brought along a few friends like the cool autumn weather and one of the best holidays, Halloween. Although we are all very excited and anxious for Halloween and all its gory glory, take your focus off creating the perfect Halloween costume and think of your breasts. Yes, that’s right your breast, because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month!
Women all over the country are going pink in honor of breast cancer. Many of us know the effects of breast cancer either through a loved one, a friend or oneself; and what better way to honor those who have passed and encourage those who are currently affect by this then proudly wearing the colors that represent the fight against breast cancer. Here are some outfit ideas to show your support while looking stylish and chic.
Choosing to live a healthy lifestyle is a key component for breast cancer prevention. Eating a well balance meal and working out consistently not only helps prevent unwanted diseases, it promotes overall health as well as a positive mindset and attitude. There’s no better time then now to take a nice jog down by the beach or to be a bit adventures and take a hike. Which ever you chose make a statement with pink workout gear, for example keep those tata’s under wraps with a bright pink nike sports bra. I highly recommend investing in quality running shoes like the Nike Roshe’s, comfort and style all in one!
One of the best ways to introduce a specific color into an outfit, without over doing it, is through accessories. Try keeping your outfit simple with a white muscle shirt and distressed boyfriend jeans for a casual look, add on your pink accessories to make the perfect statement against breast cancer.

Go out for drinks or dinner to celebrate life and your beautiful breasts! The go-to little black dress has been revamped for the fall and winter with some major class. Leave your short dresses behind and embrace the midi length! This silhouette is not for everyone but if you're brave enough to try this curve conscious design, let the dress speak for itself and go bold with pink lips. MAC’s “Candy Yum Yum” is a favorite amongst makeup artist and fashion bloggers alike, because of the beautiful shade of pink that looks great with any skin tone. Finish off this look with a light pink nail polish to work with the bright pink lips. OPI (Nail Lacquer) has created a nail polish set for years now in honor of breast cancer awareness. This year was no different with the release of “ Pink of hearts 2013”, which helps many breast cancer organization world wide. So take part in the breast cancer movement!
All fashion aside, take the initiative to educate yourself and those around you. Visiting your doctor or performing a self examination can be the difference between being a survivor or being remembered.
