Boots. No, not Puss in Boots (although his boots were pretty cute). Aside from a cute kitty, boots are automatically associated with a breezy fall and a cold winter. Even though winters in California could hardly be categorized as such with an average low of 67 degrees. Californians go rummaging through their closets in search of any outerwear once our beloved 70 degree weather disappears. However, just like the people who live here, our weather is unpredictable from blazing hot to cold gusty winds. Not to put down our wonderful forecast, here are some boot styles that are worthy of our bipolar weather and amazing style.
Combat boots are exactly what they say they are, ready for combat if anything were to pop off and completes any look with serious edge. If you're looking to add versatility to your shoe game, combat boots are the way to go. Choose a pair with a neutral color so you are not limited to wearing them and can easily be worn with a different range of styles.
There is a wide variety of booties from cowboy chic to rugged moto styles, they all work great for the fall/winter. Booties are ideal essentials for the colder seasons, especially since they can be dressed down for those last few weeks of the fall semester or dressed up for the upcoming holidays. The minimal heel, usually between 3-4 inches, is a signature feature for booties that will also give the illusion of longer leaner legs. Ladies- who doesn't want that!?
One of the hot new styles for fall/winter footwear are cutouts. Cutouts have transitioned from hoochie mini dresses to your feet. If there was a shoe convention where cut out booties were chosen as the next big shoe trend, they must of had Californian girls in mind. Since it's never quite cold enough here in Cali, having a little breeze through your feet will be welcomed when mid-day heat strolls around. Besides being weather conscious, this style will take your look from bland to rad. I am no doctor, however, I do not suggest these boots for the faint of heart! This style are for the girls who are not afraid to stand out and turn heads.
Cue Nancy Sinatra, these boots were made for walking...
